Lok Sabha Elections 2024 :Today, May 13, is the polling day for phase 4 of the Lok Sabha Elections, which is taking place in 96 seats spread over nine states and one union territory.
Where phase 4 elections are gonna held?
Elections are scheduled for today for all 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh, 17 seats in Telangana, 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 11 seats in Maharashtra, 8 seats in each of West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, 5 seats in Bihar, 4 seats in each of Jharkhand and Odisha, and 1 seat in Jammu and Kashmir.

More than half of the 543 Lok Sabha seats, or 283 constituencies, have already been voted in three stages on April 19, 26, and May 7. 65.68 percent of voters turned out for the 93 seats that were up for polling in the third phase on May 7. This is roughly 1.32 percentage points fewer than what happened for the same seats in the Lok Sabha elections of 2019.
The dates of the final three stages are set for May 20, May 25, and June 1. On June 4, the votes from all seven stages of the Lok Sabha Elections will be tallied

YS Sharmila from Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh), cricketer-turned-politician Yusuf Pathan and senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary from Baharampur (West Bengal), union minister Giriraj Singh from Begusarai (Bihar), and chief of the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav from Kannauj (Uttar Pradesh) are among the notable candidates in the race today.
Overview of 2019 phase4 elections.
In third phase of voting, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was the winner of 42 seats from the 2019 general elections and 38 seats from the 2014 election. In 2019, the TDP, JD-U, LJP, and BJP allies had taken five of these seats. In 2019, the TDP secured three seats, while JD-U and LJP each secured one seat.
Two of these seats were gained in 2019 by the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, led by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi. Out of the 96 seats in2014, the YSR Congress party (YSRCP) won 22 seats in 2019 and 9 seats in 2014. In the same way, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) secured 9 seats in the 2019 elections and 11 seats in the 2014 ones.
