I don’t see the RCBs doing that, he continued, unless you get the entire team working and every play knowing the roles and identifying different roles for different people. It might also mean that you have to slightly rearrange your team in order to allow someone else to flourish in a different position.
In addition, Vaughan expressed his opinion that the club fails to try anything novel and appears to depend solely on its individual superstars to get them through tough times—a strategy that hasn’t proven successful for them.
They don’t appear to be attempting anything new. I simply observe them believing that—again, this is just perception—they simply appear to believe that because they have excellent players on their squad, the management believes that they will succeed. It shows me that you can have excellent players, but you won’t win trophies until you understand the team culture and identity of each player to the letter,” he remarked.
